The Main Concepts Of The Vocational Guidance The vocational orientation is a complex analysis of the individual and the vocational requirements, the goals and the opportunities, an evaluation (including also psychological evaluation) for the choice of the vocational sphere, an identification of the further training alternatives. The vocational guidance is a program of the active training means for the integration of the individual to the labor market, which is chosen according to the expectations and the capabilities. The programs of the vocational guidance include the formation of the skills of the retraining, the refreshing of the potential employees and the searching for a job. The process of the formation of the skills of the searching for a job is a program of the consistent consulting of the individual according to the digest of the programs of the active searching for a job; the training of the personal skills (introduction, cognition). The Labor Exchange of Lithuania, which consists of the National Labor Exchange and 46 regional Labor Exchanges, implements the vocational information of the interested individuals and the consulting and the mediation of the employment, sends individuals to the vocational psychological consultation to the local Labor Market Training and Consulting Authorities. Considering the individual needs and the aims of the consumers, the advisers of the vocational orientation use the methodologies (tests), questionnaires of the various complexity for the evaluation of the individuals. It releases the communication among the consumer and the adviser of the vocational orientation, ensuring the systematic basis for the analysis of the problems and their solution. The consumers can be consulted individually or in groups. There are prepared and implemented precautionary, rehabilitative and corrective programs according to the expectations of the consumers and the principals of the informal training. The Lithuanian Labor Market Training Authority and the Local Training Centers of the Labor Exchange prepare the programs for the integration into the labor market, the planning of the career, the social adaptation, the vocational and personal development (the digest of the programs of the active searching for a job are prepared and implemented), adapt, standardize and implement the diagnostic methodologies, implement the programs of the consistent development of the qualification of the advisers, prepare and implement the objective programs of the integration of the individuals with the special needs into the labor market. The Labor Market Training Authority (not the Labor Exchange) organizes the training, the retraining courses for the unemployed. There is no Labor Market Training Center in the district of Jonava. The Lithuanian Labor Market Training Authority under the Ministry of Social Security and Labor has 6 local Labor Market Training and Consulting Authorities in the biggest towns – Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Pavenėžys and Alytus and the centers in Ignalina, Naujoji Akmenė and Tauragė. Their activities cover the whole territory of the state. The Vocational Guidance in The Refugees Reception Center The results of the activity, seeking to employ are caused by the several factors, each of them has influence. We are surrounded by the environment that we can not change what exists independently on us. So the foreigners granted asylum must be acquainted with the environment, the labor market of Lithuania and try to integrate in it. In the daily life the foreigners granted asylum deal with the other people. They are their neighbors, the employees of the Labor Exchange, the employers and etc. We can wish and hope that after the registration on the Labor Exchange the foreigners granted asylum will be offered a work place. Unfortunately the employees of the Labor Exchange can not always suggest a work place, because the foreigners do not have vocational skills or the required qualification. The foreigner himself or herself is the most responsible in the success of the finding a job. These are the interests of the foreigner, the capabilities, the perception, the activity, the self-confidence and having of it. Nobody else, but only he or she is responsible for the feelings, the thoughts and the behavior. The more personal responsibility the foreigner takes, the more he or she can determine the situation, the better success he or she can have solving the personal problems. The biggest attention is paid for the foreigner (unemployed), what the foreigner (unemployed) can do himself or herself for the increasing the possibility to find a job. The goal of the vocational orientation is to help the foreigners to integrate into the labor market of Lithuania. The foreigners get acquainted during the lessons of the vocational orientation with:
The foreigners are taught how to write down and fill in the documents required for the employment and how to find a job. The foreigners granted asylum also get acquainted with the psychological methods of the selection of the employees, are taught how to represent themselves in the most effective way also the communicative skills of the dealing with the potential employers. The vocational orientation provides help in the integration into the labor market. Providing help to the foreigners in gaining new demanded on the labor market occupations we deal with the Labor Exchange of Jonava, the Polytechnic School of Jonava, the Labor Market Training Centers of Petrašiūnai, Dainava, Naujamiestis in Kaunas. The information about the local labor market is provided for the foreigners leaving for the further integration to the other towns of Lithuania. They get help in searching for the job places. Only the social active employed foreigner integrates faster into the Lithuanian society.
